Really good BBQ and chicken BBQ. Friendly staff. Small place but big menu. Husband said its the same as it was 20 years ago.

If you are looking for expertly smoked Lexington style bbq or ribs this is not the place for you. This is a 30 seat hole in the wall with standard bbq joint fare. There is a bbq pork dish on the menu, but i don't think it's a big seller. This is a burger and hot dog joint with friendly small town service. They also offer some sandwiches. I wish I could say the burger was very good, but it was just average. The chili cheese tots were pretty good. This is not the type of place that people go out of their way for, but rather grab some food while they are passing through downtown.

Hot, simple and cheap food in an old school diner.
Jack's has been around for a long time. Walking in the door is certainly a blast from the past. And its busy.
My wife and I stopped in around 4:30 for a late lunch. We were surprised to find that there was only space at the counter to eat. Not a problem for us but be prepared for that.
The space is simply decorated. There are some relics from the past on the walls. From the counter you can watch them cook your food.
I ordered the BBQ sandwich and shared tater tots and cheese sticks. There was nothing exciting about the BBQ. Really standard. Served hot in a steamed bun though. The tater tots were crispy and served hot though and the cheese sticks were quite good. Apparently the hot dogs are what they are known for and on my next visit that is what I'll try.
The service was very friendly though they should streamline the payment process. There was a couple guys that waited a solid 15 minutes just to pay.. They were a little backed up, to be fair, but that's a long time to wait to make a simple transaction.
If in Gibsonville I would recommend trying it. I don't know if I'd go too far out of my way though. -

Stopped in for lunch while passing through Gibsonville and was pleasantly surprised at how great the food was. The place is small with maybe 10 tables and a seat counter and no frills. We were seated and served very quickly. The food came out just as quick. Our burgers were huge! My mushroom Swiss had a ton of cheese and toppings. The onion rings were very large, hot, crispy, and not greasy. Also a large serving. The price was very reasonable for what we got: $17 for 2 burgers, 2 onion rings and 2 teas. The staff were very friendly as well.
I would definitely recommend! -

Jack's just keeps the small town diner atmosphere going - daily meat & 2 specials, salads, and sandwiches. Stopped by recently, grabbed a Hot Dog, Cheeseburger, Tots, and an order of Onion Rings.
The hot dog was solid, as always, and so was the burger. The tater tots were pretty good, though a little under cooked. The onion rings were very average. Service was excellent.
